Dr. Kafilat Oseni is the Founder and Director of Intersecting Minds Counseling and Consulting, LLC. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the historic Albany State University. Her academic journey continued at Argosy University, where she obtained a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Driven by a passion for advancement and excellence, Dr. Oseni achieved a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from Walden University.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Oseni has served on the faculty at the Walden University School of Counseling. There, she teaches Introduction to Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Theories of Counseling, and Research Methods and Program Evaluation to Master's graduate students. Her academic and teaching experience reflects her commitment to training the next generation of mental health professionals.
She has also received specialized training and certification in the treatment and diagnosis of Personality Disorders and is a recognized specialist in providing support for survivors of narcissistic abuse. Her expertise extends to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Trauma-Informed Counseling, both of which she incorporates into her treatment approaches.
With a strong foundation in both research and clinical practice, Dr. Oseni is well-equipped to serve a diverse client population, offering sound clinical guidance and compassionate care. Dr. Oseni is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is certified in the treatment and diagnosing of personality disorders. Her ongoing professional development includes certification as a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), enabling her to provide clinical supervision, consultation, and professional growth services through her practice.
