Dr. Kafilat Oseni is the Founder and Director of Intersecting Minds Counseling and Consulting, LLC. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the historic Albany State University and completed her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Argosy University. She later obtained her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counselor Education and Supervision from Walden University, reflecting her commitment to advanced clinical practice, leadership, and professional excellence.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Oseni is a college professor, teaching graduate counseling courses including Introduction to Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Counseling Theories, Research Methods and Program Evaluation, Group Dynamics, and Advanced Counseling Techniques. Her academic and instructional roles underscore her dedication to educating and mentoring future mental health professionals.
Dr. Oseni has received specialized training and certification in the assessment and treatment of personality disorders and is recognized for her work with survivors of narcissistic abuse. Her clinical expertise also includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and trauma-informed counseling approaches, which she integrates into her work to support clients navigating complex emotional and relational challenges.
With a strong foundation in both research and clinical practice, Dr. Oseni provides thoughtful, ethical, and compassionate care to a diverse client population. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor (CPCS), offering clinical supervision, consultation, and professional development services in addition to psychotherapy.
